The clerks went above and beyond for me. They had no decaf coffee and went out and bought some for me to brew in my room. Room was very clean and bed was comfortable. A little noisy being right on a main road but things did quiet down during the night. Breakfast is basic but good and fresh. Would definitely stay there again. Reasonably priced.
The stay was pleasant. We arrived very early in the morning, and the desk clerk accommodated us quickly. Everything about this day was smooth and efficient, the only thing that I wish they had done differently was extend the breakfast Beyond 9:00 a.m. after arriving at 3:30 to 4:00 in the morning, getting up to eat before 9:00 was a little difficult
My whole experience was really good. Comfortable and easy. All staff were friendly and quick at check in and check out.
Staff is so friendly, breakfast was nice, rooms were clean and we felt very safe. Two women travelers, so safety is always a key concern. Made to feel welcome and they are very thorough with providing all the details of the stay, etc. Great location. Close enough to VT and the Roanoke airport. I’ll be coming to the area a lot in the future and will definitely consider this location for my travel.
**5 stars** I recently stayed at the Days Inn by Windham Salen, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! From the moment I arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and attentive. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and equipped with everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The location is perfect, close to all the attractions yet peaceful enough for a relaxing getaway. The attention to detail in every aspect of the hotel is impressive—from the beautifully decorated interiors to the delicious breakfast spread each morning. The overall ambiance made me feel right at home, and I can’t recommend this place enough. I will definitely be returning on my next visit. Highly recommend !

When I went in the guy was on a personal phone call and continued with it while I just stood there a good 5 or 10 minutes. He just ignored me. He only hung up after a man came in the lobby. Considering I'm a woman I guess I wasn't important as the man who came in. Then I was given a room with a king bed and there was 3 of us and he refused to change my reservation. He said I could pay for another room or keep that one. Very rude. We have been staying at that motel the second Saturday in September for 10 years. I'll rethink for next year.
We loved our stay at this Days Inn location. They had the friendliest staff. The room was clean and spacious. Will definitely be staying here again for future VA tech events. We are parents of a Hokie.
